The Mighty Columbia

Columbia RiverOn the same trip mentioned in my previous post, I had some down time and was able to take a stroll along a riverfront park. While there, I noticed the entrance to a dock that led down to the river. From this dock, I was able to get a great view of the Columbia River, along with the surrounding landscape. I love the rolling hills, green trees, and swirling water captured in this photograph! Additionally, the morning light provides the perfect amount of illumination for the shot. A similar photo would be the perfect addition to a bedroom. The serene landscape and soft colors are the perfect addition to your space. If you have the chance, try to get a shot of a body of water in the morning light. You’ll have a great photo that can be used to bring the beauty of nature into your home!

Bunches of Creamy Cherry Blossoms

Creamy cherry blossom treeEven though the weather has currently taken a turn for the worst, I’ll always have beautiful, inspiring photos to look at! On the right you’ll see a picture of the creamy cherry blossom tree I used in a previous post. It’s great to be able to look back and enjoy nature’s beauty on rainy days. These types of photos are a great way to not only bring a bit of nature into your space, but also a way to remind you of brighter days ahead!

Cheerful Cherry Blossoms

Cherry blossoms_close upOne day, I woke up and realized the cherry tree was about to bloom. It’s been a mild winter here, so the flowers are blooming early. As seen on the right, we have some gorgeous pink blossoms this year. I love getting close up shots of flowers! It’s so interesting to see the variations in color and shape from flower to flower. Displaying pictures of flowers is a great way to add a pop of color to any space. Nature provides an abundance of inspiration, all you need to do is keep an eye open for the beauty around you!

The Beached Tree

Beached treeI always enjoy walking along the beach and seeing what’s washed up on shore. On this outing, I encountered part of a tree that had washed up on the beach. From the state of the wood it was obvious that the tree had been out to sea for some time. Even so, I thought the tree was in a unique state and decided to take a picture of it. I love the gnarled roots and branches, the stripped bark, and the wood bleached by the sun. It’s amazing how artistic nature can be! You, too, can get a similar shot to adorn your space. You can find beached drift wood not only at the ocean, but at waterways, rivers, and lakes. While the proportions of the wood might vary, what’s important is that you’re able to take a shot that not only adds interest to your space, but also showcases nature’s beauty!

The River Wild

River at parkWhile I was at the park mentioned in my previous posts, I was able to get this beautiful shot of the river. This picture was taken downstream from the waterfalls in my previous post. Rivers often look serene on the surface, but can be quite treacherous underneath. In this picture, I like the natural elements of the white-water rapids, the brightness of the sun, and how the trees frame the river on either side. Such a gorgeous shot! There’s nothing like taking a picture of nature’s beauty. No matter what your local parks have to offer, you can be sure to find a spot that showcases nature’s beauty, and will allow you to display that beauty in your very own space!
