While having fun at the aquarium, I ran across this cute pair of puffins! Since my friend’s birthday is coming up, this pair gave me the perfect inspiration for possible presents. You can use a photo of animal friends to create a card, use it as the cover for a scrapbook, or simply frame the picture and give it as a gift. Totem Pole at the Park
Today I decided to explore one of my local parks. Besides the natural beauty, I noticed this totem pole in the same area. I really like totem poles, and thought this one was really interesting. I enjoy looking at this piece of art and trying to decide what each figure on the pole is. Since totem poles are made up of multiple figures, it would be easy to take pictures of each one and display them separately. Something like this would be a great gift to someone who is a fan of totem poles or Native art. You would be giving a unique and personal gift that not many could replicate. Nothing is better than giving a gift that was both a joy to create, and that will be enjoyed by the receiver!
The Blue Heron
One of the many creatures that visits my local lake is the Blue Heron. It’s a treat to see one, but they’re rarely close enough to see. But on this occasion, it decide to catch dinner near the shoreline! Luckily I had my camera with me, so I was able to snap several photos. I watched the bird as it would carefully look into the water and then quickly lower its beak in to catch some fish. I couldn’t tell if it was successful or not, but I enjoyed watching it nonetheless. It’s amazing to see nature in action. Have a nature lover in your life? Next time you see amazing wildlife take a picture and give it as a gift. Nature is a beautiful thing, so why not give the gift of its beauty in your very own photo?
From Sea to Port
While out on a stroll one day I saw this huge ship navigating the waterway. I was surprised to see it since I rarely see ships navigating these waters (I’ve only seen them docked near shore, not actually sailing in). I was even more surprised when I blared its loud horn to warn other boaters in the area to steer clear. It was loud, but really cool! It’s amazing to see this huge ship moving so effortlessly through the water. This photo is a great addition to any nautical theme or a gift to anyone who loves ships (who doesn’t?). No matter if the ships is big or small, a photo can open up a world far beyond our shores.
Reptile in the City
No matter where you live there’s always wildlife thriving around you. Case in point, the lizard pictured above! This lizard has been living on/under my front porch for years. The first time I saw it it was very small; now it just keeps growing! I happened to be working in the yard one day and was able to snap a picture while it was sunning itself. If I knew someone who loved reptiles, it would be a great idea to take the picture, frame it, and give it as a gift. Nothing says friendship like sharing a great photo. Remember it’s not only cool to decorate your own space, but to help others decorate theirs, too!
